Tape coatings produce leakproof membranes and insulation necessary to cover the entire surface of a pipe. They are made from polymers, which can withstand tear and abrasion. They can be used in conjunction with liquid coatings like epoxies to enhance surface protection.

Insulating varnishes protect electrical machines and appliances from oils, moisture, and chemicals. These varnishes are fast drying on electrical apparatuses and coils of insulated wire or glass fittings. The varnish creates a hard, glossy film wherever it is applied.
