They provide more support for large loads and are easier to maneuver than hand trucks, and they do not require the loads to be leaned back and balanced. Items need to be lifted onto the dollies manually or with a lifting device.

The three-position handle on these convertible dollies can be used to push or pull the dolly like a platform truck. The handle folds flat when it's not needed or to save space when storing the dolly. Also known as triple trollies, these dollies have a solid deck that prevents small items from falling through it and can support bags and other irregularly shaped loads. Plastic dollies are lighter, more resistant to dents, and easier to clean than aluminum, steel, or wood dollies.
