Vacuum conveyors (sometimes known as air conveyors) use a small amount of compressed air to create a vacuum for conveying items. They are commonly used to move dry bulk materials such as powders, chips, small parts, food, and pharmaceuticals for packaging, processing, or disposal. These systems consist of a vacuum fitting that attaches to a standard hose or pipe and a compressed air line. The conveyed material is vacuumed through the fitting and into the hose or pipe, and the material travels through the hose or pipe until it comes out the other end. Material can be conveyed through horizontal and vertical hose or pipe runs. Vacuum conveyors take up minimal space. They have no moving parts and don't require electricity, so they need very little maintenance other than that required for the compressed air system.
