Standard wheels have a bored hub that mounts to the axles of casters or trucks, carts, dollies, and other material-handling equipment to allow them to roll, which reduces the effort it takes to move or reposition the equipment. They are often used to replace existing casters on a piece of equipment. The wheels may have a solid tread and core, or they may have a tread that's been mechanically joined to a core.
