Standard Plate Casters

Available291 products
Standard plate casters have kingpins that securely join the casters' mounting plates to their frames. They are used in nearly every industry and are the most common type of caster used for general purpose applications. The casters' mounting plates install onto the bottom of machinery, carts, or other equipment, and the casters allow the equipment to roll to reduce effort when moving or repositioning it. These casters are available in swivel and rigid versions. The swivel casters can rotate 360°, allowing equipment to change directions while rolling. The rigid casters roll in a straight line. Two rigid plate casters will often be paired with two swivel casters to allow the equipment to both maneuver around curves and obstacles and maintain a straight course while rolling.

Extra-Heavy-Duty Standard Plate Casters

Extra-Heavy-Duty Standard Plate Casters
Extra-heavy-duty standard plate casters have forged steel frames, tapered roller thrust bearings, and forged or welded steel kingpins. They can bear heavier loads, tolerate more frequent use, and withstand more shock and impact from rolling over rough or uneven ground than light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty standard plate casters. The casters are installed onto the bottom of dumpsters, trailer frames, die carts, and other heavy equipment used in industrial areas such as manufacturing plants, construction sites, and assembly plants. Swivel versions of these casters have hardened bearing raceways and large-diameter hardened ball swivel bearings, which are quieter and allow the caster to swivel more smoothly than roller bearings.

Super-Duty Standard Plate Casters

Super-Duty Standard Plate Casters
Super-duty standard plate casters have forged steel frames, tapered roller thrust bearings, and forged steel kingpins. They can bear heavier loads, tolerate more frequent use, and withstand more shock and impact from rolling over rough or uneven ground than light-duty, medium-duty, heavy-duty, and extra-heavy-duty standard plate casters. The casters are attached to the bottom of die carts and other heavy equipment used in shipbuilding sites, aerospace plants, automotive factories, steel mills, heavy equipment manufacturers, and other industrial operations. Swivel versions of these casters have roller load bearings or large-diameter double swivel ball bearings, which are quieter and allow the caster to swivel more smoothly than roller bearings.

Corrosion-Resistant Heavy-Duty Standard Plate Casters

Corrosion-Resistant Heavy-Duty Standard Plate Casters
Corrosion-resistant heavy-duty standard plate casters have forged stainless-steel frames that resist rusting when exposed to corrosives such as water and chemicals. They mount onto the bottom of carts, dollies, tables, storage racks, and other equipment used in industrial areas where they will be frequently washed down, will be rolling along irregular or rough surfaces, and may encounter shock loading, such as chemical- and pharmaceutical-manufacturing plants, food-production facilities, laboratories, and cleanrooms. The casters' frames have a smooth, high-luster finish that prevents dirt and contaminants from becoming embedded, which eases cleanup. The casters have a stronger kingpin than light-duty or medium-duty casters and can withstand heavy loads and frequent use. Swivel versions of these casters have hardened bearing raceways and double ball swivel bearings, which are quieter and allow the caster to swivel more smoothly than roller bearings.

Heat-Resistant Extra-Heavy- & Super-Duty Standard Plate Casters

Heat-Resistant Extra-Heavy- & Super-Duty Standard Plate Casters
Heat-resistant extra-heavy-duty and super-duty standard plate casters have steel or iron wheels that can withstand very high temperatures up to 750°F. The casters' forged steel frames, tapered roller thrust bearings, and forged steel kingpins allow them to bear heavier loads, tolerate more frequent use, and withstand more shock and impact from rolling over rough or uneven terrain than light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty standard plate casters. The casters are installed onto the bottom of heavy industrial equipment that will be used in high-temperature environments like autoclaves, kilns, and process finishing ovens to allow the equipment to roll or be repositioned. Heat-resistant extra-heavy-duty and super-duty standard plate casters are suitable for industrial applications such as heavy manufacturing, energy and aerospace industries, and steel mills.

Easy-Turn Extra-Heavy- & Super-Duty Standard Plate Casters

Easy-Turn Extra-Heavy- & Super-Duty Standard Plate Casters
Easy-turn extra-heavy-duty and super-duty standard plate casters each have two wheels mounted on a single axle. This reduces friction between the floor and the wheels (also known as scrubbing) and allows the casters to swivel more easily than single-wheel plate casters. These casters have forged steel frames, tapered roller thrust bearings, and forged steel kingpins that allow them to bear heavier loads, tolerate more frequent use, and withstand more shock and impact than light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty plate casters. They mount onto the bottom of mobile cutting and welding equipment, air cargo and ground support equipment, production line dollies, and other heavy equipment used in manufacturing plants, construction sites, assembly plants, steel mills, and other heavy industrial environments.
