Dies & External Threading Tools

Available964 products
Dies cut threads on the outer surface of a part so it can be mated with a hole, fastener, or other part that has matching internal threads. A cylindrical part such as a rod or pipe is inserted into the opening on the die, and the die is rotated around the part to create external threads on it. Round dies are used to create new threads. Hex dies and thread chasers are used to repair existing threads on a part. Pipe and conduit thread dies create or repair external threads on the surface of pipe, conduit, or fittings so they form a pressure-tight seal when connected to other parts or fittings. Die wrenches are used to turn dies by hand in manual threading tasks. Quick two-piece die kits allow the thread size to be changed on the included die instead of purchasing a new die.
