Sine Plates
Available32 products
Sine plates hold workpieces or fixtures at a specific angle to guide accurate machining of angles. Also called sine tables, they have a top plate that tilts out from the surface plate to set up an exact angle. Spacers such as gauge blocks or slip gauges are used to raise the top plate to a specific height to create the desired angle. The top plate can be locked in place once the angle is set and provides a work surface for supporting workpieces and fixtures.
Sine Plates
Sine plates hold workpieces or fixtures at a predetermined angle for accurate machining. These precision-ground plates have a hinged, flat top section that tilts away from the surface plate. A slip gauge or gauge block raises this top section to the desired height, setting a fixed angle. Sine plates are wider than sine bars and can be used for precision measurement and fixturing applications.

Compound Sine Plates
Compound sine plates are used when working multiple angles at once. They are designed with one sine plate on top of another, with the lower plate set using a gauge block. This block sits against the connecting cylinder or roller at any angle up to 60°. The upper plate and lower plate attach with a locking strap.

Magnetic Sine Plates
Magnetic sine plates incorporate a sine plate and a magnetic chuck. They set an angle via a hinged top section and use magnetic surfaces for the reliable, clamp-free holding of metallic workpieces.
Standard Pole
Standard has 1/4" poles to create a strong hold on large, wide (or thick) parts.

Fine Pole
Fine has 1/8" poles to hold small, narrow (or thin) parts.

Magnetic Compound Sine Plates
Magnetic compound sine plates form multiple angles in a single workpiece. One sine plate is placed on top of another, with a cylinder or roller connecting the two plates. To set the desired angle a gauge block is placed at the correct position against the roller. These sine plates include magnetic surfaces for holding workpieces in place without clamps.
