Taper Slot Gauges

Available13 products
Taper slot gauges have an elongated steel gauge or steel leaf or set of steel leaves that are used to accurately measure holes or slots. The gauge is inserted into a hole or slot and the standard and metric measurement increments on the leaf are used for recording diameter measurements. Sets often have a locking mechanism that keeps the leaf in use positioned appropriately while also keeping the other leaves out of the way. They are commonly used in tool and die making, bearing work, and gaging slots as well as for other general machining and metalworking applications.

Taper Gauges & Sets

Taper Gauges & Sets
Taper gauges are inserted into holes and slots, and when they contact opposite sides of the hole without being tight, the standard and metric increments on the side of the gauges are used to determine the measurement. Sets include a number of various-sized taper gauges included in one tool.

Electronic Taper Slot Gauges

Electronic Taper Slot Gauges
Electronic taper slot gauges have a linear encoder and digital display within a battery-powered electronic housing to perform taper gauge measurements. The digital display sits on a rule that tapers to a point. The point is inserted in holes and slots and measurements are shown on the digital display. These gauges allow machinists to see the measurement of a deeper hole without needing a direct line of sight to the graduation measurement marks in contact with the edge of the hole.
