Indexable Thread Milling
Available12 products
Indexable thread milling is a process that uses multitooth thread milling inserts to add threads of a specific standard and pitch on a workpiece. The thread mills have a shank that mounts to a milling machine spindle and a cutting head that holds replaceable thread mill inserts. The inserts can be replaced with new ones of the same type or different types without removing the thread mill from the machine. Indexable threading tools require fewer tool changes than solid tools in high-volume metalworking and fabrication applications with high speeds, high feeds, and difficult-to-machine materials.
