Powdered-Metal Screw-Machine Length Drill Bits

Available202 products
Powdered-metal screw-machine length drill bits are stronger and harder than cobalt or high-speed steel drill bits and are less rigid and less likely to break than carbide drill bits. They are used in machine setups such as drill presses. Screw-machine length drill bits are shorter than jobber length and maintenance length drill bits of the same size. Also called stub length drill bits, they provide more strength and rigidity and can drill straighter holes than longer drill bits. Their short length also allows them to access tight spaces where longer drill bits cannot fit.

V-coated Spiral-Flute Powdered-Metal Screw-Machine Length Drill Bits

V-coated Spiral-Flute Powdered-Metal Screw-Machine Length Drill Bits
The V coating on these drill bits is a multilayer TiCN coating that protects them from wear and is harder and more wear-resistant than a TiN coating. The bits have spiral flutes that evacuate chips as the bits drill into a workpiece.
