Carbide-Tipped Extended-Length Drill Bits
Available14 products
Carbide-tipped extended-length drill bits have carbide cutting edges that provide excellent hardness, wear resistance, and heat resistance and retain their hardness better than high-speed steel or cobalt cutting edges. The bits' bodies are made from a material that absorbs more vibration and shock than carbide, so they are less rigid and less likely to break than solid carbide drill bits. These extended-length drill bits have longer flutes and more overall length than standard jobber-length drill bits of the same size, and they have longer shanks than taper-length drill bits. Their extra length allows them to create deep holes or drill into hard-to-reach workpieces.
NAS 907 (P3) Bright Finish Carbide-Tipped Aircraft Extension Drills
These aircraft extension drill bits meet National Aerospace Standards (NAS) 907 (P3) for drill bits used in aircraft repair and production. The bits' spiral flutes evacuate chips as the bits drill into a workpiece. The bright finish on these drill bits is not affected when their cutting edges are resharpened.

Bright Finish Spiral-Flute Carbide-Tipped Extended-Length Drill Bits
These drill bits do not have coolant holes, so a separate hose is required to bring coolant to the bits' tip if it is needed. The bits' spiral flutes evacuate chips as the bits drill into a workpiece. The bright finish on these drill bits is not affected when their cutting edges are resharpened.
