Milling machine vises mount to machine worktables to position and hold parts and workpieces during machining applications. Also called workholding vises, they have a wide base that provides a stable mount. Wide jaws provide a large surface area for clamping workpieces. The vises' adjustable jaws can be opened and closed to decrease and increase the clamping force. The jaw height, width, and opening size will determine the size of the workpieces that can be held in the vise.
