These oils are used in and around processing areas where there is the potential for exposure to food. The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) certifies these oils for the level of contact that is appropriate for use to eliminate the risk of food contamination.
General Purpose Food-Grade Machine Oils
These general purpose food-grade machine oils lubricate a variety of machine parts and equipment in food processing facilities and are rated NSF H1 for incidental contact with food in applications where contact is unavoidable. They are safe for human consumption in diminutive quantities and are often used on equipment such as casters on food carts, chains in conveyors, and slicing machines.

Water-Resistant Food-Grade Machine Oils
These food-grade machine oils have additional water-resistance when lubricating machine parts and equipment in food processing facilities. They are rated NSF H1 for incidental contact with food in applications where contact is unavoidable and are safe for human consumption in diminutive quantities. These machine oils are used in wet conditions to avoid washing off of equipment.
