Grease fittings (zerk fittings) are permanently installed entry points on equipment for delivering grease to components such as bearings and gears without overflow or leaks. Also referred to as grease nipples, they remain closed to keep out contaminants until the pressure from a grease gun forces them open and allows grease to flow into the system.
