The long body of linear vapor-tight fixtures illuminates a wide area for more coverage than round fixtures in damp or humid locations. They surface mount to walls or ceilings and are commonly used to illuminate loading docks, basements, server rooms, and bus shelters. Their housing and lens fit tightly together and seal with a gasket to prevent dust and moisture from entering the fixture and damaging internal parts. These LED lights use significantly less energy than fluorescent lights and have built-in LED arrays so there are no light bulbs to install or replace.
Washdown-Rated Linear LED Lights
Washdown fixtures illuminate grimy environments and other areas where equipment is regularly sprayed down to clean off dirt and debris. Sometimes called water-tight or waterproof fixtures, they carry an IP rating indicating the level of protection they provide against liquids. Fixtures that are NSF listed Zone 2 (Splash Zone) are commonly used in commercial kitchens, dishwashing areas, and food processing facilities.

Wet Location Linear LED Lights
These lights are rated for wet locations with occasional water drips or light sprays. They illuminate spaces that experience large temperature swings (such as malls and airports) and dirty, dusty, or humid areas (such as locker rooms and commercial laundries).
