These linear LED lights mount to flat surfaces in hazardous locations with enough space for the roughly 3-ft. long housing. LED lights use less energy and typically last longer than other lighting technologies, reducing maintenance and downtime. Hazardous location lighting fixtures illuminate areas with flammable, combustible, or ignitable materials. They keep arcs and sparks contained so that the fixtures won't cause a fire or explosion. They carry class and division ratings as defined by NEC and OSHA for use in locations where specific hazards are present in normal or abnormal conditions. Class I and II fixtures also carry group ratings designating use in locations with specific types of gas, vapor, or dust.

These Class I, II, and III fixtures illuminate Division 2 hazardous locations where flammable gases or vapors, combustible dusts, and/or ignitable fibers or flyings are normally confined or not present in ignitable concentrations. Their group ratings designate use in locations with specific types of gas, vapor, or dust. They prevent arcs or sparks within the fixture from igniting gases, vapors, dusts, fibers, or flyings on or near the fixture. Flammable gases and vapors are Class I hazards commonly found in petroleum refineries, fuel dispensaries, sewage treatment plants, and processes using chemicals, paints, coatings, or sealants. Combustible dusts are Class II hazards commonly found in pharmaceutical factories, coal-handling plants, grain elevators, and plants processing flour, feed, or powder. Ignitable fibers and flyings are Class III hazards commonly found in textile mills, lumber mills, and other plants with airborne fibers or sawdust.
