Ceiling, Wall & Fixture Mount Occupancy Sensors

Available70 products
These occupancy sensors mount onto surfaces, into fixtures, and in other installations that require an alternative to standard switch box mounting. Occupancy sensors monitor a room and automatically switch off lights when motion is no longer detected after a set period of time. They ensure that lights remain on while the room is occupied, then shut lights off when the room is unoccupied to conserve energy and reduce electricity costs.

Ceiling-Mount Occupancy Sensors

Ceiling-Mount Occupancy Sensors
Ceiling-mount sensors install onto a finished ceiling surface or into drop ceilings that allow access for connecting to wiring. They monitor from overhead to sense movement within cubicles, along partitions, between shelving and racks, and around other obstacles that can block wall-mount sensors.

Line Voltage

Passive Infrared (PIR)

Passive Infrared (PIR) monitors for temperature changes due to human activity and activates lights when someone enters the room. PIR requires a direct line of sight, so it's best suited for warehouse aisles, small rooms without partitions, and outdoor spaces.

Passive Infrared (PIR)/Microphonic

Passive Infrared (PIR)/Microphonic is a dual technology that checks for occupancy via temperature changes and passive sound monitoring for a more reliable and accurate response than standalone technologies. It's also known as passive dual technology (PDT).

Passive Infrared (PIR)/Ultrasonic

Passive Infrared (PIR)/Ultrasonic is a dual technology that checks for occupancy through temperature changes and active sound monitoring for a more reliable and accurate response than standalone technologies.

Ultrasonic

Ultrasonic emits high-frequency sound waves (outside of normal hearing range) and turns on lights when it detects a frequency shift caused by someone entering the room. It is not limited by obstructions or partitions but is prone to false activation from vibration, airflow, and noise from outdoors or adjacent rooms.

Wall-Mount Occupancy Sensors

Wall-Mount Occupancy Sensors
Wall-mount occupancy sensors fasten directly to a wall's surface or onto a junction box within the wall. They are commonly used in open areas of offices, warehouses, retail spaces, and restrooms where partitions or barriers won't block the sensor.
