Emergency drivers install into LED lighting fixtures that contain LED arrays that are powered by standard LED drivers. Also called emergency backup batteries, they act as a backup power source to keep the LED arrays lit for a specific amount of time if the power supply to the fixture goes out so that people in the surrounding area can see where they're going as they evacuate. Emergency drivers help building owners meet code requirements for emergency lighting without having to install separate emergency lighting fixtures.
