Emergency Ballasts for Fluorescent or LED Retrofit Light Bulbs
Available21 products
Emergency ballasts install into lighting fixtures that contain fluorescent linear light bulbs or UL Type C LED retrofit linear light bulbs that are powered by fluorescent ballasts. Also called emergency backup batteries, these products help building owners meet code requirements for emergency lighting without having to install separate emergency lighting fixtures. The emergency ballasts act as a backup power source to keep the bulbs lit for a specific amount of time if the power supply to the fixture goes out so that people in the surrounding area can see where they're going as they evacuate.
Reduced-Profile Emergency Ballasts
Reduced-profile emergency ballasts have a more compact footprint than standard emergency ballasts. They are used compatible fluorescent light fixtures where there is limited space for installing an emergency ballast.

Cold Temperature Emergency Ballasts
Cold-temperature emergency ballasts operate at lower temperatures than other types of emergency ballasts, making them suitable for use in fluorescent light fixtures installed in parking garages, cold-storage facilities, and similar cold environments. The light fixtures they are installed in must also be rated for operation at low temperatures.
