Piston Seals
Available77 products
Piston seals help ensure that pressurized hydraulic fluid does not move past the piston as it moves up and down the cylinder during a pressure cycle. Hydraulic cylinder piston seals are installed in a groove around the piston. Maintaining a tight seal ensures that the cylinder maintains pressure. Weakened or leaking seals cause pressure in the seal to drop, reducing or eliminating the ability of the cylinder to support a load.
Piston T-Seals
Piston T-seals are used in single- and double-acting hydraulic cylinders and in medium- to heavy-duty hydraulic applications. They have a T-shape with a hard plastic back-up ring on each side to help prevent rolling and spiraling. Back-ups on each side of the ring make these seals a good choice for use in double-acting cylinders.

Piston Seal Kits
Piston seal kits (sometimes called piston seal assemblies or bore kits) include the seals required to repair hydraulic-cylinder piston seals.

Piston Crown Seals
Piston crown seals are used in double-acting cylinders and light- to medium-duty applications. Crown seals sit in the piston groove and can be used in place of T-seals and O-rings. The flat sides of the seal help prevent extrusion and rolling.

PTFE Square Ring Piston Seals
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) square ring piston seals are used in double-acting cylinders. They have a round nitrile loader that faces the piston and a square ring constructed of 15% glass-filled PTFE that provides low friction, high strength, and strong resistance to chemicals. PTFE square ring seals are often used in machine tools, hydraulic presses, and mobile hydraulics.
