Process thermostats control the temperatures of air, liquids, or gases in manufacturing, commercial food service, or industrial processes. They provide precise control to ensure equipment and processes run smoothly.

Remote-Bulb Sensor Process Thermostats

Remote-Bulb Sensor Process Thermostats
A remote-bulb sensor allows the thermostat's control switching to be located a convenient distance away from the sensor and the equipment being regulated. As the fluid inside the sensing bulb expands, the resulting force is transmitted through a capillary tube that activates the switch. The sensor is housed in a required liquid-tight protective well for corrosion resistance. These thermostats are commonly used for regulating heating assemblies, industrial processes and equipment, tanks, and vessels.

Direct-Insertion Process Thermostats

Direct-Insertion Process Thermostats
The corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel outer shell and high-temperature wire lead termination allows these thermostats to be directly inserted in a fluid or gas. They can also be inserted into drilled holes in equipment or machinery. Also known as cartridge thermostats, Cal-Stat thermostats, or insertion temperature switches, they control temperatures for package machinery, commercial food equipment, lab and medical devices, and other commercial and industrial process applications that use liquids or gases. The setpoint temperature can be adjusted with an adjustment screw.

Surface-Mount Conduction Process Thermostats

Surface-Mount Conduction Process Thermostats
These thermostats have heat-sensitive base plates that mount in full contact with heated surfaces, allowing them to sense the temperature through thermal conduction. The plate screws onto the surface, which should be flat and smooth for an accurate temperature reading. The base plate's expansion and contraction works with the thermostat's bimetal strip sensor to open and close the contacts that control the temperature. These thermostats are commonly used in industrial applications, such as electrical appliances, food service equipment, and industrial drum heaters.
