Air pressure sensing probes are installed into ventilation systems and measure the air pressure at that point. They are commonly connected to air pressure sensing switches and trigger actions when the air pressure reaches the defined setpoints. Static Pressure Probes
Static pressure probes are installed into an HVAC duct and measure the air pressure against the duct walls. They feature a straight-cut tip with an opening perpendicular to the airstream that measures static air pressure. Static air pressure is the air pressure measured when the air is still or when the movement of the air does not affect the pressure reading.
