These AC units feature heavy-duty materials and components for frequent use and generally have a higher cooling capacity than light-duty units. They can be used for ducted or nonducted applications and accept attachments for directing or customizing airflow. Units with a power cord and plug have a leakage current detector interrupter (LCDI) that senses current leakage and interrupts a circuit to help prevent injuries and damage to equipment or surroundings. Units with a heat pump provide cooling as well as heating.
