Passage paddle locksets allow doors to swing open freely in both directions on internal doors used in buildings. Also called passage handles, they are not built with any locking mechanism on either side of the door.

Storeroom paddle locksets lock from the outside and have no keyway on the inside of the door. They unlock with a key and can be re-locked when the key is removed to prevent unauthorized access.

Office lever paddle locksets have a key-turn hole on the outside of the door and a push-button or thumb-turn locking mechanism on the inside. When unlocked, the paddle operates freely from both sides, allowing occupants to open and close the door.

Classroom security paddle locksets lock from either side of the door with a key. When not locked, the door can be opened from either side of the door.
