Door and butt hinges attach doors to structures or surfaces and allow them to open and close. They are available in screw-in and weld-on styles and are used in a variety of applications, including garage doors, cabinets, and glass doors.

Light-Duty Full Mortise Template Hinge, Steel

Utility light-duty mortise-mount and surface-mount hinges are ideal for hollow-core and lightweight wooden doors. Nonremovable pins and inaccessible set screw provide increased security, while removable pins make frequent door removal less time consuming. Hardware included. Template mortise-mount steel hinges have standard preplated countersunk holes arranged in a half-moon shape. The square hinges mount into recessed cutouts, attaching doors to frames. Use ball-bearing hinges with door closers to reduce friction in high-traffic areas. Removable pins make frequent door removal easier, while nonremovable pins provide increased security. Safety hinges have concealed bearings to prevent tampering and tapered tips to help prevent suicide attempts.
