Vehicle Belts
Vehicle belts mount to pulleys to transmit power from the engine to accessory systems in the vehicle. Cogged V-belts are single belts that have grooves across the width of the belt to help dissipate heat as it runs against the pulley. Banded cogged V-belts are two single V-belts that are fused together to create ribs in a V-belt with reinforced backing for more stability than two, single V-belts. Metric cogged V-belts are single belts that have metric dimensions and mount to metric pulleys. Micro-ribbed V-belts have raised ribs that run along the length of the belt and are suitable for smaller diameter pulleys in accessory drives. Timing belts mate with the tooth pattern of a compatible pulley or idler to maintain consistent timing with the drive rotation to ensure engine components operate properly.
