Sealed Lead Acid Batteries
Available106 products
Sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries are heavy, block-shaped batteries for powering large equipment and industrial systems. Also called storage or standby batteries, sealed lead acid batteries are slow draining when not in use so they're often used in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and other backup or reserve power applications. The terminal placement and overall dimensions of an SLA battery must match the location of mating connectors and the installation space within equipment to ensure a proper fit.
AGM
AGM (absorbent glass mat) batteries are commonly used in emergency lighting equipment, fire panel or security systems, and electronics. They can also generate the burst of power required for startup applications. Their glass mat design keeps battery acid contained while creating minimal resistance within the battery to allow higher capacity and higher discharge rates than a gel-type SLA. They also function better in cold climates than a gel battery. AGM batteries should be installed in devices that will remain upright.

Gel
Gel batteries have thickened battery acid that allows them to be installed on their side or even upside down. They're considered non-spillable, so they're often used in medical mobility scooters, wheelchairs, golf carts, and solar panels. They perform more effectively in warmer temperatures and provide a longer cycle and shelf life than AGM batteries.
