Building Wire & Cable
Available27 products
Building wire and cable carry electrical current from a power source to a device in a building, such as an outlet or light fixture. Building wire is typically run through conduit, cable trays, or raceways. Building cable consists of multiple strands of wire bundled inside a thermoplastic or metal sheath. Building wire and cable are typically used to run new circuits or extend old circuits inside walls and ceilings in commercial, industrial, and residential properties.

XHHW Building Wire
Cross-linked polyethylene high-heat-resistant water-resistant (XHHW) building wire is a coated wire typically run through raceways. XHHW wire has a thicker and more protective jacket than THHN building wire, making it more resistant to chemicals, ozone, and abrasions. Its cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation is also more flexible than the thermoplastic insulation of THHN wire. This allows XHHW wire to bend and flex more easily, which makes it ideal for electrical projects where complex, close-spaced bends are required.
