Safety Relays
Safety relays monitor operational or environmental conditions and disrupt power to industrial equipment or machinery if hazardous conditions are detected to protect operators and equipment. Safety-monitoring relays pair with safety devices to turn machinery off when dangerous situations arise. Intrinsically safe relays have constructions that cannot discharge electrical, mechanical, or thermal energy and are suitable for harsh and hazardous environments. Force-guided relays have mechanically linked contacts that won't allow the relay to function if it encounters an internal or external failure. Arc-flash relays monitor for arc-flash events and shut off power if detected.
