Motor Disconnect Switches
Motor disconnect switches have manual shutdown mechanisms that open and close circuits to disconnect and connect power from single-load industrial equipment, motors, and electrical operations. Also known as motor-control disconnect switches, they protect operators from shocks when performing maintenance or in an emergency. They have enclosed constructions that protect their internal components against impacts, dust, and debris.
Fusible Disconnect Switches
These fusible enclosed disconnect switches have fuses that blow if the connection experiences an electrical overload or short. They shut off power immediately if there is an electrical malfunction to protect high-current industrial equipment in wet and debris-ridden environments. Fuses are sold separately.

Non-Fusible Disconnect Switches
These non-fusible disconnect switches don't have fuses to protect against electrical overloads or shorts. Non-fusible disconnect switches are suitable for applications where downstream equipment has its own overcurrent protection.
