Butt Splice Wire Connectors
Available91 products
Butt splice wire connectors create permanent in-line connections between two or more conductors to extend or terminate electrical and ground connections in applications such as automotive systems, appliances, and machinery. They consist of a cylindrical, insulated shell with openings on both ends where the conductors insert until they touch and an internal metal sleeve that holds and splices them.
Crimp-On Butt Splice Connectors
These butt splice connectors attach wires with crimping tools. Wires insert into each end of the connector until they reach the center of the metal sleeve, where they compress with a crimping tool to hold and splice the connection.

Push-In Butt Splice Connectors
These butt splices attach and insulate wires without crimping tools or solder. Stripped wires insert into each end of the connector until they bypass a metal insert that bites into the conductors, splices them together, and prevents them from pulling out.

Solder Butt Splice Connectors
These butt splices connectors have solder inside their sleeve that melts over the conductors to join them. Wires insert into each end until they reach the center of the connector, where they compress with a crimping tool. Next, a heat gun heats the center of the connector to melt the solder insert over the conductors and solidify the bond once it cools. Since they require a heating element to melt the solder, these butt splices are not recommended for use in enclosed environments.
