Compression Adapters
Available19 products
Compression adapters install onto the ends of cables to contain the conductors, increase their conductivity, and enable them to plug in and out of terminal blocks and other receptacle-type devices. Also known as pin terminal compression adapters, they supply power and ground between circuits in high voltage or heavy cable gauge applications, such as breaker panels, electrical panels, and meter sockets. They have barrel-shaped bodies and an extended, rod-shaped terminal that plugs into receptacles to carry the connection. Their bodies compress around conductors using a die tool to create a tight bond and prevent the cables from pulling out. Compression adapters have markings that identify where to compress and which die component and tool to use. Insulation boots can be added to help protect the connection from deterioration and electrical noise.
