NEMA straight-blade receptacle and switch combination devices mount to surfaces, connect power to plugs, and provide control of electrical circuits. Also known as NEMA outlets with switches, they tap into existing electrical sources or provide access points on equipment to power or control them. NEMA receptacles are made to standards designated by the US National Electrical Manufacturers Association. They're rated for different current ratings and have various socket configurations to prevent mismatched connections.
