They're used with wire or threaded rods to connect to the conduit and pipe hangers that directly support conduit runs. These clamps and clips mount wherever there are horizontal surfaces or beams.

Beam clamps suspend threaded rod from a metal beam, steel girder, or strut channel. The rod can then connect to conduit or a pipe hanger to support conduit runs. Beam clamps mount onto the edge of a horizontal surface and clamp down firmly with a set screw.

Z-Purlin Clips
These clips suspend wire or chain from Z purlins, which are horizontal beams that form the roof of a building's shell structure. The wire or chain can then connect to conduit or a pipe hanger to support conduit runs. These clips tightly clamp onto the edge of the Z purlin without using tools.
