Plumber's putty provides a watertight seal around faucets, sinks, and drains by filling the space between rigid, flanged surfaces. Also referred to as plumber's caulk or fixture setting compound, it does not dry or harden. It maintains a claylike consistency that is malleable for easy readjustment and replacement.
