Pipe cement, also known as pipe glue, bonds and seals unthreaded plastic pipe. When applied to a compatible plastic, it interacts by fusing together and creating a solvent weld, or cold weld, that cannot be separated. For a proper bond, it is important to choose a pipe cement formulated for the appropriate type of plastic. An in-lid dauber helps apply the pipe cement.
