Sandpaper Sheets

Available47 products
Sandpaper sheets shape, smooth, and finish metal and wood surfaces. An abrasive applied to backing material cuts small amounts of material from the workpiece to smooth the surface, remove sharp edges, and debur metal. Sheets are often torn down to fit handheld power sanders or to wrap around sanding blocks.

General Purpose Sandpaper Sheets for All Surfaces

General Purpose Sandpaper Sheets for All Surfaces

General purpose sandpaper sheets optimized for use on all surfaces have an open-coat aluminum oxide abrasive applied to a paper backing. Aluminum oxide is a strong, sharp, and durable abrasive that penetrates the work surface and withstands heat and high speeds. Open-coat abrasives have grit on about 50% of the surface leaving space between the abrasive grains to prevent swarf from clogging the surface which keeps the workpiece cooler. The paper backing provides a smooth, flat surface to provide consistent pressure across the work surface. Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel.

Flexible Sanding Sheets for All Materials

Flexible Sanding Sheets for All Materials
Flexible sanding sheets optimized for use on all materials have a closed-coat aluminum oxide abrasive applied to a cloth backing. The flexible, tear-resistant cloth backing conforms to contours and is more durable and tear resistant than paper. Aluminum oxide is a strong, sharp, and durable abrasive that penetrates the work surface and withstands heat and high speeds. Closed-coat abrasives have abrasive grain across the entire surface to provide a smoother finish and faster material removal than open-coat coverage. Example materials include metal, composites, wood, ceramic, plastic, and porcelain.

Wet/Dry Sanding & Finishing Sheets for All Surfaces

Wet/Dry Sanding & Finishing Sheets for All Surfaces

Wet/dry sanding and finishing sheets for use on all surfaces have an open-coat silicon carbide abrasive applied to a paper backing. Paper-backed wet/dry abrasives are flexible and can be used dry or with water or another lubricant to prevent loading and minimize dust. Silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic abrasive that provides a fine finish in low-pressure applications such as finishing and painting preparation. It breaks down faster than aluminum oxide. Open-coat abrasives have grit on about 50% of the surface leaving space between the abrasive grains to prevent swarf from clogging the surface which keeps the workpiece cooler. Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel.

Wet/Dry Screens for Drywall Sanders

Wet/Dry Screens for Drywall Sanders

Wet/dry drywall sanding screens have silicon carbide abrasive applied to a screen backing. They're precut to fit pole-mounted drywall sanding pads. Screen-backed wet/dry abrasives don't clog and are washable for reuse. Silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic abrasive that provides a fine finish in low-pressure applications such as finishing and painting preparation. It breaks down faster than aluminum oxide.
