Sandpaper Sheets

Available25 products
Sandpaper sheets shape, smooth, and finish metal and wood surfaces. An abrasive applied to backing material cuts small amounts of material from the workpiece to smooth the surface, remove sharp edges, and debur metal. Sheets are often torn down to fit handheld power sanders or to wrap around sanding blocks.

Cool-Cutting Sandpaper Sheets for All Surfaces

Cool-Cutting Sandpaper Sheets for All Surfaces

Cool-cutting sandpaper sheets optimized for use on all surfaces have an open-coat ceramic abrasive applied to a paper backing. Ceramic self-sharpens faster than other abrasives to remove material quicker. Quicker material removal speeds up the work and keeps the surface cooler, making ceramic a good choice for heat-sensitive metals. Open-coat abrasives have grit on about 50% of the surface leaving space between the abrasive grains to prevent swarf from clogging the surface which keeps the workpiece cooler. The paper backing provides a smooth, flat surface to provide consistent pressure across the work surface. Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel.
