Sandpaper Sheets

Available21 products
Sandpaper sheets shape, smooth, and finish metal and wood surfaces. An abrasive applied to backing material cuts small amounts of material from the workpiece to smooth the surface, remove sharp edges, and debur metal. Sheets are often torn down to fit handheld power sanders or to wrap around sanding blocks.

General Purpose Sandpaper Sheets for All Surfaces

General Purpose Sandpaper Sheets for All Surfaces

General purpose sandpaper sheets optimized for use on all surfaces have an open-coat aluminum oxide abrasive applied to a paper backing. Aluminum oxide is a strong, sharp, and durable abrasive that penetrates the work surface and withstands heat and high speeds. Open-coat abrasives have grit on about 50% of the surface leaving space between the abrasive grains to prevent swarf from clogging the surface which keeps the workpiece cooler. The paper backing provides a smooth, flat surface to provide consistent pressure across the work surface. Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel.

Wet/Dry Sandpaper Sheets for All Surfaces

Wet/Dry Sandpaper Sheets for All Surfaces

Wet/dry sandpaper sheets optimized for use on all surfaces have an aluminum oxide abrasive applied to a paper backing. Paper-backed wet/dry abrasives are flexible and can be used dry or with water or another lubricant to prevent loading and minimize dust. Wet/Dry Sanding & Finishing Sheets for All Surfaces

Wet/Dry Sanding & Finishing Sheets for All Surfaces

Wet/dry sanding and finishing sheets for use on all surfaces have an open-coat silicon carbide abrasive applied to a paper backing. Paper-backed wet/dry abrasives are flexible and can be used dry or with water or another lubricant to prevent loading and minimize dust. Silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic abrasive that provides a fine finish in low-pressure applications such as finishing and painting preparation. It breaks down faster than aluminum oxide. Open-coat abrasives have grit on about 50% of the surface leaving space between the abrasive grains to prevent swarf from clogging the surface which keeps the workpiece cooler. Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel.

Wet/Dry Paint-Preparation & Finishing Sheets for All Surfaces

Wet/Dry Paint-Preparation & Finishing Sheets for All Surfaces

Wet/dry paint-preparation and finishing sheets for use on all surfaces have a closed-coat silicon carbide abrasive applied to a paper backing. Closed-coat abrasives have abrasive grain across the entire surface to provide a smoother finish and faster material removal than open-coat coverage. Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel.

Wet/Dry Sanding Screens for Soft Materials

Wet/Dry Sanding Screens for Soft Materials
Wet/dry sanding screens for soft materials have an open-coat silicon carbide abrasive applied to a screen backing. Soft materials include plastic, brass, drywall, and wood.

Cool-Cutting Sandpaper Sheets for All Surfaces

Cool-Cutting Sandpaper Sheets for All Surfaces

Cool-cutting sandpaper sheets optimized for use on all surfaces have an open-coat ceramic abrasive applied to a paper backing. Ceramic self-sharpens faster than other abrasives to remove material quicker. Quicker material removal speeds up the work and keeps the surface cooler, making ceramic a good choice for heat-sensitive metals.
