Quick-Change Surface-Conditioning Discs
General Purpose Surface-Conditioning Discs for All Metals
General purpose surface-conditioning discs for use on all metals have an aluminum oxide abrasive. Surface-conditioning abrasives made of nonwoven nylon conform to irregular surfaces and remove surface imperfections, mill scale, and surface rust to create a smooth surface ready for finishing. Aluminum oxide is a strong, sharp, and durable abrasive that penetrates the work surface and withstands heat and high speeds. Example metals include mild and carbon steel, cast iron, cobalt, titanium, and chrome.

Cool-Cutting Surface-Conditioning Discs for All Metals
Cool-cutting surface-conditioning discs for use on all metals have a ceramic abrasive. Ceramic self-sharpens faster than other abrasives to remove material quicker. Quicker material removal speeds up the work and keeps the surface cooler, making ceramic a good choice for heat-sensitive metals. Surface-conditioning abrasives made of nonwoven nylon conform to irregular surfaces and remove surface imperfections, mill scale, and surface rust to create a smooth surface ready for finishing. Example metals include mild and carbon steel, cast iron, cobalt, titanium, and chrome.
