Quick-Change Sanding Discs
General Purpose Sanding Discs for All Metals
General purpose sanding discs optimized for use on all metals have a closed-coat aluminum oxide abrasive applied to a cloth backing. Aluminum oxide is a strong, sharp, and durable abrasive that penetrates the work surface and withstands heat and high speeds. Closed-coat abrasives have abrasive grain across the entire surface to provide a smoother finish and faster material removal than open-coat coverage. The flexible, tear-resistant cloth backing conforms to contours and is more durable and tear resistant than paper.

High-Performance Sanding Discs for Stainless Steel & Nickel Alloys
High-performance sanding discs for use on stainless steel and nickel alloys have a closed-coat zirconia alumina abrasive applied to a cloth backing. Zirconia alumina grains break down frequently to create fresh, sharp edges to cut and finish faster than aluminum oxide. It cuts cooler than aluminum oxide and is often used for high stock removal or under high pressure. Closed-coat abrasives have abrasive grain across the entire surface to provide a smoother finish and faster material removal than open-coat coverage. The flexible, tear-resistant cloth backing conforms to contours and is more durable and tear resistant than paper. Other workpiece materials include cobalt, Inconel, titanium, and chrome.

Cool-Cutting Sanding Discs for Stainless Steel & Nickel Alloys
Cool-cutting sanding discs for use on stainless steel and nickel alloys have a closed-coat ceramic abrasive applied to a cloth backing. An additional coating minimizes surface temperatures for heat-sensitive alloys. Ceramic self-sharpens faster than other abrasives to remove material quicker. Quicker material removal speeds up the work and keeps the surface cooler, making ceramic a good choice for heat-sensitive metals.
