Cylinder Burs (SA)

Available170 products
Cylinder burs (SA) have a straight, barrel-shaped body for general deburring and finishing of flat surfaces, interior contoured surfaces, and right-angle corners. They're often used as an alternative to a file to remove sharp edges, unwanted projections, and excess material from machined workpieces. Cutting edges are made from carbide, which is a hard material that resists wear and limits heat. Carbide burs attach to rotary power tools such as die grinders, high-speed engravers, and pendant drills.

Double-Cut Cylinder Burs

Double-Cut Cylinder Burs
Double-cut cylinder burs (SA) with a flat end have crossing left- and right-hand flutes to quickly remove stock from steel, stainless steel, and other high-strength ferrous metals while leaving a smoother finish than single-cut burs. Flat-end burs have flutes that stop at the top edge of the cylinder.

Corner Radius Double-Cut Cylinder Burs

Corner Radius Double-Cut Cylinder Burs
Double-cut cylinder burs (SA) with a corner radius have slightly rounded edges at the top of the bur to blend workpiece edges where a smooth finish and transition is required. The corner radius can reduce flute chipping to extend tool life. Double-cut burs have crossing left- and right-hand flutes to quickly remove stock from steel, stainless steel, and other high-strength ferrous metals while leaving a smoother finish than single-cut burs.

Single-Cut Cylinder Burs

Single-Cut Cylinder Burs
Single-cut cylinder burs (SA) with a flat end have parallel rows of right-hand spiral flutes to balance stock removal and finish. Single-cut burs are used in general applications to evacuate chips on most materials, including brass, copper, cast iron, and steel. Flat-end burs have flutes that stop at the top edge of the cylinder.

Aluminum-Cut Cylinder Burs

Aluminum-Cut Cylinder Burs
Aluminum-cut cylinder burs (SA) with a flat end have wide channels to provide better chip clearance than other cuts when machining soft materials such as aluminum, brass, and plastic. Flat-end burs have flutes that stop at the top edge of the cylinder.

Inox-Cut Cylinder Burs

Inox-Cut Cylinder Burs
Inox-cut cylinder burs (SA) with a flat end are designed for high stock removal and high-quality finish cuts on stainless steel without producing high heat that can cause annealing and workpiece discoloration. Flat-end burs have flutes that stop at the top edge of the cylinder.

Steel-Cut Cylinder Burs

Steel-Cut Cylinder Burs
Steel-cut cylinder burs (SA) with a flat end make aggressive cuts in steel and hardened steel. Large chips are removed quickly to keep surface temperatures low to reduce annealing that can cause workpiece discoloration. Flat-end burs have flutes that stop at the top edge of the cylinder.
