Diamond Straight Cup Grinding Wheels for Carbides & Ceramics
Diamond straight cup (type 6) grinding wheels for use on carbides and ceramic grind on the face of the wheel. These wheels install in toolroom grinders for precision grinding and tool sharpening. The wide face provides a stable surface for precision operations. Diamond is the hardest abrasive used for grinding hard materials, including ceramic, fiberglass, stone, glass, cemented carbide, and nonferrous metals. Diamond can react to iron in ferrous metals, causing excessive wear on the tool.
Type 6 Wheel
Type 6 is cup shaped with straight sides for surface and off-hand grinding of flat surfaces. They're usually installed on horizontal and vertical spindle machines.
