General Purpose Snagging Wheels for All Metals
General purpose snagging wheels optimized for all hard and soft metals are made of grade 57A aluminum oxide for heavy duty grinding and snagging. Grade 57A is a semifriable, fused brown aluminum oxide for cool, burn-free grinding of heat-sensitive metals and all steels. It balances cut quality and wheel life span at light to medium feed rates. Type 1 grinding wheels are flat and have the same thickness across the face and edge of the wheel.

High-Performance Snagging Wheels for Stainless Steel & Nickel Alloys
High-performance snagging wheels optimized for use on stainless steel and nickel alloys made of zirconia alumina abrasive are used for sharpening and stock removal, and require less pressure than other abrasives. Zirconia alumina is more durable than aluminum oxide and self-sharpens to maintain a sharp cutting edge. Type 1 grinding wheels are flat and have the same thickness across the face and edge of the wheel.

Snagging wheels for dirty and scale-covered castings are made of grade NZC zirconia alumina/silicon carbide blend abrasive. Grade NZC zirconia alumina and silicon carbide blend lasts longer than standard aluminum oxide when grinding soft metals such as aluminum, brass, bronze, and copper. Type 1 grinding wheels are flat and have the same thickness across the face and edge of the wheel.
