Angle grinder and circular saw cut-off wheels cut and notch metal, ceramic, and concrete. They're made of fiberglass-reinforced bonded abrasive that determines the material compatibility and durability of the wheel. Cut-off wheels cut using the edge of the wheel only, similar to a standard chop saw or table saw blade. They should not be used for grinding or snagging.

General Purpose Cut-Off Wheels for Soft Metals
General purpose cut-off wheels optimized for soft, nonferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, brass are made of fiberglass-reinforced, bonded aluminum oxide abrasive. The combined properties of the aluminum oxide abrasive and soft bonding agent produce fast cuts and reduce loading that can affect cut quality and shorten wheel life. Aluminum oxide is a strong, sharp, and durable abrasive that withstands heat and high speeds.
Type 27 Wheel
Type 27 (sometimes called type 42) has a depressed center to provide access when working at an angle or when making flush cuts. Type 27 wheels are used in right angle grinders.
