Combination wheels install on angle grinders to cut, notch, and grind metal workpieces. Sometimes called Type 27, these wheels have a raised hub that allows the wheel to be held at a 90° angle to the workpiece for cutting and notching and at a 30° angle for light grinding, snagging, and cleaning. Combination wheels eliminate the need to change discs when moving between tasks.

General Purpose Combination Wheels for Pipelines
General purpose combination cut-off and grinding wheels optimized for pipelines are made from aluminum oxide abrasive. Pipeline wheels are used for snagging, heavy stock removal, weld repair, and notching in pipefitting applications. Aluminum oxide is a strong, sharp, and durable abrasive that withstands heat and high speeds. It's optimized for cutting and grinding operations of 400-series stainless steel and hard and soft steels.
Type 27 Wheel
Type 27 (sometimes called type 42) has a depressed center to provide access when working at an angle or when making flush cuts. Type 27 wheels are used in right angle grinders.
