Combination Cut-Off & Grinding Wheels

Available29 products
Combination wheels install on angle grinders to cut, notch, and grind metal workpieces. Sometimes called Type 27, these wheels have a raised hub that allows the wheel to be held at a 90° angle to the workpiece for cutting and notching and at a 30° angle for light grinding, snagging, and cleaning. Combination wheels eliminate the need to change discs when moving between tasks.
Primary Material Application

General Purpose Combination Wheels for Pipelines

General Purpose Combination Wheels for Pipelines
General purpose combination cut-off and grinding wheels optimized for pipelines are made from aluminum oxide abrasive. Pipeline wheels are used for snagging, heavy stock removal, weld repair, and notching in pipefitting applications. Aluminum oxide is a strong, sharp, and durable abrasive that withstands heat and high speeds. It's optimized for cutting and grinding operations of 400-series stainless steel and hard and soft steels.

High-Performance Combination Wheels for Carbon & Stainless Steel

High-Performance Combination Wheels for Carbon & Stainless Steel
High-performance combination cut-off and grinding wheels optimized for use on carbon and stainless steel are made of zirconia alumina. Zirconia alumina is more durable than aluminum oxide and self-sharpens to maintain a sharp cutting edge.

High-Performance Combination Wheels for Foundries

High-Performance Combination Wheels for Foundries
High-performance combination cut-off and grinding wheels are made of reinforced zirconia alumina/silicon carbide-blend abrasive for aggressive cutting and grinding of cast iron, carbon steels, and series 400 stainless steel. High-performance wheels have a longer lifespan than general purpose aluminum oxide wheels. Foundry wheels are used for beveling, snagging, and cleaning seams and parting lines. Zirconia alumina and silicon carbide blended abrasives provides aggressive cutting and material removal while increasing the cutting life of the wheel over standard aluminum oxide abrasive.
