Wire wheel brushes install on rotary power tools to debur, clean, and finish metal, wood, masonry, and plastic. They smooth and finish surfaces and remove weld spatter, paint, rust, and other surface contaminants. Wire wheel brushes have metal bristles for more heavy-duty and aggressive cleaning and surface preparation than nylon bristle discs. Radial bristle discs are used on metal and plastic to remove surface contaminants (such as rust and paint) without removing base material. They're made of ceramic grain-embedded flexible nylon to conform better to irregular surfaces than wire. Bristle brushes also don't have sharp wires that break off and penetrate skin.
